Spring Has Sprung!

I think Spring is officially arrived in the Boonies of East Texas:) Heard quite a racket outside yesterday afternoon, so I went out to investigate, and discovered the pine trees FULL of Robins! Walked around the trails and it seemed like every tree was filled with them! Some were lined up all around the pond, playing and bathing in the water and having a swell time. There were at least 300 of them...what a beautiful sight!

The Daffodils are in bloom, the Hyacinths are blooming in many colors, the Forsythia hedges are in full bloom, my plum trees are starting to bloom, the Azaleas just started showing their colors, and the Iris leaves are getting nice and fat. Can't WAIT till my Grandma Amaryllis's come up (thank you for giving them to me Grandma!).

I LOVE Spring! Come on Green Grass!

Praying for my Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I just wanted to let you know that I love you and I'll be praying for you tomorrow while you're having surgery. I have a good feeling that everything is going to be ok, and that you'll soon come home to two smiling little boys who can't wait to go fishing at the dock. I'm praying extra hard that the surgeon will have clean hands, that the equipment will be germ free, and that you will have more energy than you've had in 20+ years.

While I'm not able to be there physically this time, just know that you will be on my mind.
