Dirty Fingernails and Achy Knees

My fingernails are dirty,

I keep biting down on gritty sand,

My clothes are filthy,

And my knee is killing me...




But I am as happy as a Mockingbird with a big fat worm in her beak



Because I got down and planted some flowers today:)

Goldfinches in their Summer Suits

I looked out the window yesterday and there was bright yellow flashes everywhere..in the trees, at the feeders, on the ground, and flying through the air. Grabbed my camera and tiptoed out to catch some photos. Beautiful Goldfinches were all over the place and the males were dressed in their bright yellow Summer suits. If you've never seen Goldies in the Summer, you're missing quite a show...beautiful!!!
